Artist's Comments

This is reduced 9 times from the original 7200x10800px size. Its a pain to create images so large. There are a few more details and errors that only show up at the actual pixel size. This is the largest image I have created yet.

Gemini by cheneymac is an awesome zodiac rendition of Gemini. It's good to see cheneymac back with us, releasing some more of his technically wonderful art! Top stuff indeed, would certainly make a wonderful print! (Selected by +ekud) (Featured by +ekud)

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.

That's amazingly large, but wonderfully beautiful. I really like how it all comes together. The geopmatric design in the center is my favorite. great job!

Very, very nice I like the gold embossed/engraving on the wood frame. A minor detail, but since one can see where the light falls and the shadows lie on the frame, the gold emboss on the top should curve down and/or fade into the shadows of frame. Love the textured segmented banding on the body of the serpent. The fade from yellow to blue on the serpents is well done. The cross breed of two dimensional and then three dimensional crossed up my eyes, but nonetheless this is an exceptional and well-done piece; something that we can always expect from you.

The leading cause of death among film photographers is exposure.

Film photographers often suffer from mixed emulsions. ---horrible puns from my husband ~novispoon ;-)

Why there aren't more comments on this I don't understand. C'mon people, open your eyes! Anyway ~limnersphere said much of what I wanted to say, but I have more. Really loving the composition here. The serpents form a pseudo-Yin-Yang which adds to the mysticism of this astrological image. It reminds me of a Tarot card as well. And, with a rotation and some cropping, it makes a good wallpaper too. Great Stuff Cheyney!

Your technical PS abilities are second to none on this site. Gorgeous work as always. I think what I like most about this, and your other stuff...is your attention to detail. It looks like your submissions are finished projects or something...where you've gone over each area...inch by inch...working it to perfection.

I agree about the gold embossing curving around the wood corner a bit more....and MAYBE I think there should be a little more definition between the yellow snake's underbelly, and the yellow scales...but I'm not nearly as good as you are, so who knows :P (Lick) I'm sure you know best!

Beautiful piece :-) (Smile)

Fantastic work, so sharp and clean! Love the teeth and horns on both of them, particularly the color and sheen on the top one.

Holy crap! Thats amazing! Thats the best picture I have ever seen in my life (I am not kidding!)

I'm in love with your color palette and the gleaming smoothness you've incorporated into this one. Resembles a fine wood carving almost. Very cool! :) (Smile)

That's really cool, and experimenting with some large CG (friik, nowhere near that large!) I for one am impressed with the size... and the patience it must take to work with such a large canvas o.o
Insanely large, simple in some areas, but impressive! I like the central design the best.
